I bought this rs pro a looong time ago maybe as soon as Tekin released them

It has survived 6 motors and 3trucks and now is home to a sprint 2 for the past 4yrs it does have an external bec and fan on it since body gets no air but the most leds ever came up without fan was 5.

The only drawback is the rs pro age vs the Hotwire. It erases everything every time I log it back on.. but since I keep it simple that hasn’t been too much of an issue.

I hate to “trade up” since this thing isn’t broken or is failing in any way but it has crossed my mind.

Thanks art
Quite the interesting thread

FYI your RS pro should not be erasing anything UNLESS you're hitting the "update ESC" button instead of "apply settings" which did/does create some confusion for first time users.

"Update ESC" is for software updates; if you hit this the Hotwire will flash the ESC with the software chosen, and re-install all defaults.

So if this is what you're doing, I'd ask you to plug into the ESC, change something big such as Drag Brake from whatever it is now to say, 95; hit apply settings; then once the window states the setting is saved, unplug the ESC from the Hotwire, plug back into it and it should refresh. If it doesn't or if you're unsure; you can hit "Current Settings" where it will "ping" the ESC for the current settings and display them.
