Tim, just a little history of GT12 in the UK. When they first started, it was Mardave cars originally designed as oval cars in the UK, and descendants of a class called Bangers. They ran 26mm tires front and rear and ran them onroad with GT bodies. The chassis they were using was a full length front to rear with the pod over the top in the rear. So it grew from there and they kept the chassis rules intact. They were bullet proof and a lot slower than they are now. Then came the Supastox. When Schumacher put it out about 4 years ago, they thought they were making a more bulletproof version of a bullet proof car. And, they did, but, it was faster and handled a lot better. And then... the RC evolution of GT12 happened. Mardave has had 3 or 4 cars, Schumacher has had 4 cars, Zen has had 3 cars. At this point, GT12 is still one of their biggest classes, but is so much faster than envisioned. It was always intended to be a 12th scale LMP body feeder class. They have tried rubber tyres, but passed. They are now onto green stripe spec tires. Racers from all over Europe have adopted the class and run the BRCA rule set. So, that being said. It is now cheaper to build a new CRC CK25 than it is to build and option the GT12s. But, The GT12 will run damned near through a wall and keep going. As example, we had a lane failure, a 2 1/2 inch piece of PVC facing toward oncoming traffic. The car hit the open pipe at full wood and only broke a steering knuckle.

Now that you know the history and understand where it came from anyone can make an informed decision on GT12 or 12th with GT bodies. I'm about to grab a few bodies for GT12 and measure them for Bull Frog.

I have the Ferrari (I think it's a 958), A Porsche 911, and the Ascari V1 and V2 (wider).

And hell yes I would race this class on foam tires any time I could. Even tempted to go to the UK and run a big event some day.
