If your compressor can supply a steady 40 PSI or so, I would start with that. I don't think a dryer is required, I would get a regulator with a water trap to start. Do some test sprays at various pressures, between 25 to 35 psi, I like to use a clipboard with white printer paper to adjust my brushes. Fastcolor, Createx, Autoair should all spray at these pressure straight out of the bottle.
