12th scale tires are cheap. Truing tires is the easiest task in RC. And the new carpet has less wear and the harder spec tires work great.
I don't see the problem. Run F1 or WGT-R for rubber tires, or for newer racers. It would be neat if F1's were wider. Don't wreck a perfectly classic pan car class.
Nitrobuggy is $65 worth of tires every single race day. They're no more than practice tires after the main. How's that for perspective? And cheaper 1/10th buggy classes require that I keep extra tires on hand which makes it nearly as expensive as nitrobuggy.
Isn't 12th scale open tires? You can run rubber if you want to. Just don't ban foams, please.
