Does WD-40 swell plastic?
I have Revo-style slider driveshafts on my Losi Rock Rey that no longer well....slide!
I recently ran the vehicle in snow and before I put it up I sprayed some WD-40 on some components to keep them from rusting. The slider driveshafts got some WD-40 on them and now they take serious effort to slide over each other. If I lift the suspension arm it does not go back down because there is so much friction in the driveshaft keeping the arm in the raised position. Could the WD-40 have caused the inner splined shaft to swell?
