I looked at that one on eBay as well... not a huge difference to the cheapest FH4 ones there though. Always slightly risky ordering from outside EU though, if the package gets "caught" by customs. Same goes for transponders of course, the cheapest one in eBay seems to be $87 shipped while it is $115 in Finland. Not much difference if customs fees apply, though.
There were actually a few FH4 ones available for a quite decent price lightly used just recently at our "national" discussion forum, but I hadn't decided on the upgrade yet at that point. And before Christmas there was similarly a decent sale on some new ones.
I'm actually contemplating buying some cheap JR extension cords that I could keep plugged in the 482 at all times and then plug the electronics into the looser extension cord terminals despite the added cable mess... sad

Still I'd only use that in a basher, I'd still fork over the extra cash for the RX481 or 482 for my race vehicles.
And I am with you on the extension cord deal it's not a bad idea where weight isn't an issue. Right now I'm lucky enough that my ESCs have a detachable cable that I can remove on the ESC side if I want to take it out or make changes with the program box so it's kinda the same concept just minus the extension lol
