Yeah, just too many cars to buy dedicated receivers, especially now with FH4. Six 1/10 electric cars, one 1/16 if I start using it with the MT-S as well, and one nitro monster that I'll probably sell at some point. Likely more electrics coming at some point. Ugh! Two is enough to not have to switch receivers from car to car on race days. But should really get a second transponder at some point, too bad they're even more expensive than the receivers!
I hear ya man they are wicked expensive to keep buying. There is one relatively cheap receiver from Sanwa you can get, it is their FH3 receiver and should work with the mt-s. Idk if you've seen it already but if I was gonna get receivers for a basher it'd be this one lol

For transponders I recommend just buying them used if you wanna save some dough
With the right seller I can get a used one for $75 if you're going for the rc4 2-wire transponders. I've only ever bought one new and that was because I was an idiot and left my transponders at home lol so I had to fork out for a new one at the track if I wanted to keep my lap times.
