So if I understand you correct James rubber compound is a bit harder, maybe like PL X compound?
A good baseline of tires would be:
Revenge in S and SS
Defenders in S and SS
Doft Evo in SS (rain)

All drivers here used to use PL lockdown as their go to tires and then fugitive when tyrewear went up.
