An off-topic relatable question....

I am curious about a Hobbywing ESC that I have received. I believe it is a discontinued JUSTOCK SPEC Race ESC with 13.5 turn motor. Specs call for 45A/260A Burst. I plan to run this in my rebuilt 1/10 stadium truck. I had planned on using a NiMh battery, however the future SMC Lipo batteries I would like to get for other kits are 2s 5200mAh 50c and 4400mAh 80c LiPo batteries.

I am such a new guy to the Lipo world, just want to have my basis covered. Would this ESC be able to handle both of these batteries?

Where would I be able to find a serial number to be sure which model this is?

Hobbywing responded with their input, and does not make much sense to me:

Dear Sir,

Larger C count of battery will afford power system's need better,so if the voltage under limit, larger is better.

You can check and change profiles by LCD program card, but this ESC only have one.

And here is a manual in attachment, you can have a view.

Best Regards!
