steel braided wiring isn't particularly cheap, but I am so I've been using recycled 14AWG speaker wire for years with lengths cut up to 18" for my 4 port charger
We actually have a local kid and his dad that make extended charge leads for a really good price for the quality, everything gets soldered by the same folks that do it for Tesla (or BMW, can't remember which he said lol). They have both 4mm and 5mm ends on each charge lead. I bought the 28 inch cable at the local hobby shop for around $24.
