I haven't checked my LHS just yet which may open the door, but by looking online and only seeing 1 or 2 available 1s saddle pack setups it looks pretty grim that they'll have much to choose from.
But as i'm typing this I thought of an idea that i'm not sure why it hasn't crossed my mind yet... I could calculate balance with running a single 2s saddle pack since that opens room for electronics as well as allows placement on the left or right side of the chassis vs only the right side for shorty lipo.
Are you looking at single shorty packs and planning on buying 2 to do saddle? Lots of companies already sell specific saddle packs which need to be wired in a series arrangement. You may want to check the rules where you race as running two standard shorties gives a much larger battery dimension than a typical saddle, and dimensions are usually regulated.
