My home track is a large asphalt track and I'm going to try and test there before too long and advise on what I find. I have been running a small black carpet track using 59 degrees with a lot of success. Motor barely got warm after an 8 minute main last night. I was able to TQ and win. Gearing is at 3.76
This setting was based on one post sometime back from a well known racer that stated; "don't be afraid to try up to 60 degrees". He was dead on. So, when I get to my local track, I plan to leave the timing alone and just adjust gearing. Hope this helps.
