As long as you're torqued correctly, I don't know if these have torque specs or its just to feel, you shouldn't have any problems. If its been taken off and put back on several times this could potentially create small issues. I don't know anything about lead gaskets, except that lead itself has a low melting point, and might soften up if you have high enough block temperatures.
