You should aim to keep the motor under 200 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent the rotor from demagnetizing. 150 and under is ideal, but if you are faster on the track when it's closer to 180, go for it. I aim for 150 or cooler so that if a bearing goes bad or a fan fails, there is more overhead before damage happens.
