Jeez, even a limit of “just” $150 for a motor is IMO pretty ridiculous. I long for the days when the modest entry fee for most major races was somewhere between $40-$60 and that fee even included a handout motor, albeit a brushed one. Extra motors could be had for just $20-$25. Lately the price of keeping up with competitive brushless horsepower is really getting out of hand and increasingly more difficult to justify.
