I will be present at the coming 1/8th scale on-road IFMAR World Championships 2017 at Monteux(France) where I have some drivers using my VS Racing engines and where we have applied the EBIS on some engines.
You will not be disapointed. For sure on on OS and Novarossi the results are very good. Some claim it does not work on Picco and XRD but with all the results over the world it seems more like a bad engine or just product bashing.
Last I had 2 of the new JP engines but they had a very tight piston even this break-in process could go through.
I have one tip. The external power supply is for the stepper motor, mount a current meter in one of the power lines to meassure the needed power. The current will turn lower during the process so you can determ the tigthness and the moment of breaked in.
