depends on your tracks rules.. id go with either soft or hard.. a fire extinguisher will not do anything if a lipo fire occurs unless its halon..(outlawed in US) but i still have a box full..
dont see how a hard pak will get damaged unless u drive into a parked car or telephone pole at full speed.. my battery mount holds soft paks fine. kind of a case setup..
