It's not really a bad idea. It should move the impact force to the a-arms instead of the suspension blocks which can help prevent a run from getting cut short if the hinge pins come out after an impact (could also bend hingepins easier). I usually only get it for the front end though.
I passed on these because I did not want to spend another $100 on top of the $1200 total I have in this new one. Also, I will be running on fields and if any bashing, it will be light bashing.
