Thanks for your response Randy.

I'm quite familiar with these aspects so this isn't an issue (years of electric heli, 3S to 14S). My issue is that i can't find full motor specifications so i can be informed about what maximum voltage i can safely operate each motor on (amongst other things like max wattage etc etc) and hence can't then decide which motor to get to suit my application/intention.
The 1700 can run 6s, but you must gear the car correctly.
OK Thanks for that information. Perhaps i'll jump down from the 1900 to the 1700 and start there. Although the 1900kV was where i was hoping to jump in based on my current numbers.
1/8 cars were never meant to hit speeds of 80+ MPH. The cars aero and other features hold it back from these speeds. I know it's fun as heck. Generally we also see guys skimp on the batteries and try to run inexpensive packs with less than true 40c which can over work the ESC under these loads.
lol yeah i'm only going for the 'fun as heck' as i'm only bashing. I'm not doing any speed runs or anything like that. Although i can see us GPS'ing them to see what they may be capable of as a relative comparison between mates only. Its just offroad bashing and my OCD engineering/technical mentality that i like to cover as many of my bases as i can prevent myself from being unhappy with in the future!
I haven't seen to many true 40C LiPo batteries from the data i've seen (given how LiPo's come out of very few factories, i'd assume this is echo'd in the car battery sales as well). And unless i'm missing something, how does a battery that can't supply large amps due to not living up to its rated marketing sticker, "over work the ESC under these laods" when it won't be able to actaully supply large loads? What am i missing, what is your meaning here?
Thanks again.
