You must leave the throttle in the normal position on the radio when using a Spektrum radio in order for it to calibrate properly.
What I would suggest doing is selecting a new model on the radio, one that you have never used before. Then rebind the RX to that new model and then calibrate your radio and ESC. It would be a good idea also to preform a factory reset on the ESC before calibration.
