There are a LOT of people using it with gas cars. I for one and a lot of people at our track. Some of the M8 users had the usual problems, some don't. Really a hit or miss scenario. Just like with any receivers, you have to isolate it from vibrations using pieces of foam. The failsafe feature is a bonus.
the one thing I have seen that they had not really figure out is that it work well and then the car may hit a board or the viration in a gas car gets to it, then the transciever goes into some state of confusion. The car turns, but not to full travel and the throttle is delayed in response, like he hit the throttle and then the car starts moving a second later. This happend to one guys at the track. It was electric and he usually does not tap board. He taped one, not hard, but the transciever went wacko. I was the marshal, turn the esc off and then on and all was good to go. He said this has happened only one other time and he did the same thing. just turned it off and back on.
