There are a few things that are different from the MT-S, and better, but I would agree that the MT-S is the best VALUE. The MT-44 is lighter, has a drop down integrated, better screen, and my personal favourite difference, has a light steering and trigger tension that is identical to the M12S. The MT-S feels similar to the MT-4 / 4S, which is by no means bad, but the MT-44 is just that little bit nicer.
Keep in mind that I've owned both.

I'm not sure why they say that... It's happened every time I've placed an order, but they've shipped the next day. I wouldn't worry, but don't select shipping by sea; it takes forever!
