i have an ansmann .28 with os8 plug and 20%, jp2 pipe, if i remember correctly when i first got the engine it had 3 shims on, may have been used at a higher nitro % so how many shims would i use after installing a new piston and sleeve n running it in ..ive been doin the running in with 3 seems ok just seems to have loosened up alot..thanx in advance
I'm not an expert but in my experience it's usually best to stick to however many the engine came with. There's usually a reason for the number of shims put in from the factory.
