Nice Fdjizm! Interested to see how it goes!

I ran 49/36 gearing once on a ~900kv 5682 motor from Turnigy. The no-load wheel-speed of that gearing wasn't even that high because of low kv, but still it burnt up the stator within 2nd test-drive, as the current rating of the motor was only about 100-110A, ...due to cheap . @ Nitrohead: Targetingxmod put a Leo 58110 in a 1/8 truggy: http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...s-project.html; it's a cool build, but performance-wise it's nothing special (sorry Xmod ). From my experience, I'd say it's just not possible to exploit the full potential of a 1/5 motor with 1/8 battery space... I think even in a good TP4070 or similar set-up, the batteries and ESC will be more of a bottleneck than the motor. Then again, a 1/5 motor in a 1/8 does look pretty awesome .
