The only mod motor I don't cut every run, even for off road is the V2. I don't think the Cobalt is really any different than most any other motor as far as that goes. I haven't gotten to try one yet but I hear their killer fast, especially with br00d winding and tuning them for you. And with the XXX brushes, the com will need cutting but the brushes will last for quite some time.
