There was some discussion about that on the JConcepts FB page earlier. It's not an illusion. Cav is running a ton of toe out. I have heard some guys saying the control tires at the Reedy race lack grip up front, and have a lot of rear grip. They are having to do some out of the box setups to have enough steering.

I've run the transistor up front on my cars at OCRC and they lack steering. The positron in the rear is very stable and locked in. This combination makes for an easy to drive car that doesn't rotate and severely lacks steering entry, assuming you are using a relatively standard setup similar to those posted on the AE website.
A more standard setup at OCRC, which many of the locals use, would be to use an electron up front with the positron in the rear.
