I checked the crank i had the last BRB set in and the pin is worn out. The wrist pin was also worn but the PL set was perfect.

It is defenetly right. To put a new set ( regarless brand) will required farily good condition of the rest parts and if cranckshaft pin pretty worn out-will not help inlife and performance. My post was refering, that I have never got feedback that wirst pin is worn out quicker then piston. We use high alloy steel heat treated to 58 Rockwell and wrist pins last about 3-4 pistons before change them.
