You're not the only one having issues with cogging on 'crawler' motors on castle ESCs(MMp, MMx, etc)
Does the MMx have a 'sensored only' mode? I wonder if the esc is trying to switch from it's sensored startup to sensorless too soon.
ESCs like the HW are always sensored only, no option for sensorless.
