I bought the car months ago, as well as the CVD driveshaft kit from HPI. Finally getting around to installing them. Once installed, both front wheels will not rotate. If I back off the wheel lock nut, things begin moving - but, it's backed off far enough that there's too much play.
In emailing HPI, I received: "This can be solved by fitting #72036 aluminium hex hub or sanding the rear of the plastic hub on 600 wet & dry paper so it is 5.4mm thick instead of 5.9mm as the stock width."
Anyone else had this issue? Should I sand or pony up the $20 for aluminum hex hubs?
Thanks!
(I spoke about this a few months ago). . .Sand the Wheel Hubs.
-If you install the Aluminum Wheel Hubs; you might have to place a Shim between the Bearing and the Hub. (it's work versus money)
