No. A diff allows some give if you hit something so you're less likely to break but it can still happen. Shimming is still the best thing you can do to avoid breakage
Hmm, I never heard of breaking gears using a frontdiff. But usually I used a oneway not a frontdiff. But after switching to the Jürgen oneway I broke just one gear within 1 year of use.
