so if thats true, motor tech runs in cycles as posted by Justin...Snowbirds its this, then Vegas its that, and so on....but who is making you spend the money?...just because the "fast" guys or the one hit wonder is beating you now, doesnt mean its motor, lipo or anything....its psychological?....I can promise you that no amount of money can buy you talent or a win....
best example I can give....Ive been running XYZ motors for years, and have done pretty well with them....but never really had any following locally with them. Sure every now and then somebody would pick one up and give it a shot....but thats about it...well all of a sudden another very respectable and best racers in RC starts using them and the whole club pretty much switched...why?...cause he is the "fastest" guy and people follow the faster guys...but in the same breathe he could run a Traxxas 20t and still win, and next week racers will follow suite...
long story short....if you spend $150+ on a motor, thats great for you...is it a win?...no...is it going to be that much better, maybe?....is it going lose its excitement ?..YES....so look for the New Reedy M4 21.5's coming soon...
how was that?....we good
cause all the really fast guys talk the entire time at the track wile being at different tracks and this usually points all the fast guys twards the faster motor.
Ha, .2 a lap between your motor and the new hotness after a 6min run on a 11 sec track is roughly 6-7sec faster which at Cleveland champs will be the difference between the A-C mains ... And if you screw up a few laps yea it still matters cause the laps you didn't screw up were still .2 faster ...just saying
Myron it's been forever since reedy got it right ,you really feel they can do it 2x in a row lol . Why you have 4 different usvta motors ? Exactly . Lol
