This is absolutely true. We're a motor tuning company, but there were plenty of guys in the lower mains (think 'D' and under) that we tuned motors for (because they asked us to) whose handouts dynoed as strong as mine did and I was in the 'A'.
Like someone else said it's a driver, chassis, motor, battery combo. I worked my tail off to put it in the show over the past month and all the hard work paid off. It wasn't because I had the fastest stock motor in the place. (Okay, maybe I did.
