I just received the hexes I ordered for the front hex conversion. I ordered the axles, 7mm and 8.5mm hexes. When I put the hex up to the stock axles and look at the distance from the hub to the hex flange on the stock axle; the 7mm looks a bit shorter and the 8.5mm looks for be a hair longer. Which hexes is everyone using to achieve as close to stock measurements and geometry? Or, are there shims used with the 7mm?
