Your right about the 2nd gear but to be honest the track is so small that when it shifts I need to immediately slow down for the turn.

Try 15/20 if it's that small. Also what tires do u run? Do they prep the track? I really like the adjustability of the nt1 especially with the flex control. Hard to help u with out some details of what is the car doing. Try some rubber tires if traction is that low.
