Hi mate i have the same boat for my son had the same
Issues what i found was a lose conector on the battery
Plug when you connect the battery it pushes out the black wire not making a good contact and when you turn on the boat make sure you touch the two brass shafts on the
Motors while turning on your boat it tells you to do that
For some reason i dont know why exactly .i hope this helps
