They are completely different (ETS carpet vs. new CRC). The construction of the two carpets is very different (ETS is much thinner and the pile itself is different), and the overall grip levels and car feel are also very different. Grip on the new CRC carpet is very very high (we superglue front sidewalls and run alu chassis plates!) but might be similar forward bit to your primafelt (I haven't had the opportunity to run on that carpet.) I don't believe our tire wear is anywhere near as bad as what I hear your primafelt stuff is like, though.
Frankly, I wish we used ETS carpet here in the US. It would make 1/12th a lot more enjoyable, for sure.
