It's a matter of preference. Metal shielded are fine especially if you run on astro they'll last a while compared to a dusty track.

I currently own a nb48 and just bought a lutz clutch for it and I'm on the verge of switching over to the mbx7r and was wondering will that clutch work for the mbx? On the site it lists mugen style or tekno style, but it is 34mm flywheel. Any insight on this?

The Lutz clutch will work, you'll probably need the mugen style bell though.
As far as kits, usually Tower is the cheapest but right now Amain or Absolute are probably the cheapest @ 549 plus the coupon codes
