My time on that car demonstrated to me without doubt that I needed to try and find that same level of driveability on my more conventional car(s). Recently I've been running a McFactorized Top Rebel since an alloy chassis for that one was made available to me and I wanted to experience first hand what was all the buzz about with the aluminum chassis plate phenomenon. After a few weeks on an alloy chassis Rebel, I can say without doubt that, on the new CRC rug, the McChassis is really the sh-t. Next step at some point down the road will be to return to my CRC roots and to build up a fresh CRC with one of Mike's totally awesome alloy chassis plates. The newest version Yokomo (like Jimmy and Manny both have) has not exactly been setting the world on fire, so I'll probably forego getting one of those. For the foreseeable future I'll be sticking with the McChassis because it is just fantastic. Mike's aluminum chassis plate really has been a game changer for me. Having said all of that, my current research project will be trying to develop my CRC WGT/GTP. Mike, if you are out there......a WGT size alloy chassis plate to fit this big CRC would be so sweeet.
yea i've been itching to get one of his chassis as well with zero success. looking more like i'm going to be running carbon come the big race and the next points race.
i guess that yokomo evaluation is accurate i havent seen Jimmy Mac not have a legit shot at the #1 spot in a long time and since he's had it i havent seen him up there. i've been meaning to bring my chassis to work to do my own possible AL chassis since it seems like McF is the only one doing AL chassis for us pan guys
