Fitting them like you said with pliers doesn't work. The spring steel is too rigid and doesn't want to bend before fatiguing if you follow. At least for these springs anyways.

Windtunnel progressive front springs are the same size as a 1/12 rear side spring. Tapered and all.

But on my application (Roche and speedmerchant) I need spring retainers that fit them. Both of those are too big of a diameter.

I actually heard from Wayne at Team Scream that the CRC retainers are the ones he used to get them to work.

I want to use them because their springs are nice and they have some softer rates than .18. Which I want to use on high grip CRC.

I actually tested the .16 front springs yesterday and they were pretty good. Just need rears now.
