That's a lot of work, normally we just cut them with body scissors. They are also available in a premount.
I assure you using a lathe is faster than body scissors. Plus you don't dull your scissors. I debated taking a video because it's pretty cool. I also take off the inner rib on the wheel because I've found on the front associated wheels there isn't really a big enough gap between the outer rib and the inner for the tire to seat perfectly flat. Schumacher wheels are absolutely superior to the associated wheels if you plan to mount the cut staggers. The back wheels are equals. It's just the fronts...
I don't buy Schumacher wheels or pre mounts because they are so over priced. Too bad tower doesn't sell Schumacher...
Amain recently had a two day sale 15 off 75 dollars with 1.99 priority mail. I bought 7 sets of rear tires and 6 sets of fronts. And of coarse I had a friend order half the order so it was 30 off total rather than just 15!! Yes I'm that cheap.... And tower has great prices on associated wheels, I just wish they didn't suck so much for Schumacher tires!!!
Has anyone tried the j concepts narrow buggy wheel with Schumacher tires??
