There will always be little problems to over come with each new kit. I'm referring to the various issues with some kits that make you spend more money on the kit after you've bought it. Ex: V2 Diffs, Mugen outdrives. I'm not speaking of aftermarket upgrades, just parts you need to race.
I think the AE kits are out of the box ready to race, I have the sc5m, t5m, and B5MFL and all three were ran for a while with nothing but kit I don't think any of the upgrades I have done have amounted to much in all reality except the pucks on the b5m.
Oh and the sway bars on the sc5m were a major difference also
