I can see why this would be proposed but I don't think it will have the intended effect of increasing modified turnout. A tested, tuned 6.5 turn open ESC setup would still be screaming fast, so fast that I would argue it would fall under the statement "beyond the capabilities of all but the very elite to be able to control and race." Add to that how all of the sudden your ESC choice, software choice, motor, battery, and all of the other factors that you don't worry about become relevant to modified racing again, instead of picking a color and go.
Not my problem though, I live in America.
The fact that 'Blinky' wasn't spec'd was a mistake, an amendment was made, so it will be 6.5 blinky
