As to how long tires last, it really depends on how small you cut the fronts to as they wear the most. I know that even club racing I can't get more then maybe 3-4 runs on a set of fronts if they are cut somewhere around 40mm to start.
Nice, I start mine at the same size (39.75 rears and 39.60 fronts) and replace the fronts at 39.0. But I am getting about 5-7 runs on them, with the 3rd or 4th run being the best, at least with the Ultis.
