Hes talking about the outer right side 5x11 diff bearing, they are not meant to be loaded sideways. If you replace it with the tamiya thrust bearing you dont have that problem.
As slotmachine said, Im referring to is the one inside the right side drive hub, just before the cone washes. Like slot said, in that particular situation, radial bearings are not designed to take an axial load. Depending on track, the bearing can be worn out in as little as one battery pack.
As many suggested, the tamiya thrust bearing seem to work well with the diff, but any 5x11x4.5 thrust bearing would work just as well. Ive ordered some from a chinese hardware store website for pennies each and havent found the need to replace it. Its typical to rebuild the diff after teach track session, but after that, the diff is buttery smooth again.
