I just measured a Zen Racing pivot ball, it is 2.778mm to the center. The Zen balls are reported to be 0.2mm lower than AE. Zen also sells AE balls that have been lowered 0.6mm, if you are looking for the lowest roll center.
Thanks Joey and Earl! Sounds like I was close with my 3 mm guess. For reference, it seems like raising the rear RC helps a lot on the new carpet (to a point) so while the lowered pivot balls are good to know about, I am not sure if they would help for racing in the US on the new carpet. Might try them, though!

Nothing crazy! Honestly, I am just trying to figure out how much I need to raise SpeedMerchant links to match the RC of an AE pivot, that's all. Sounds like it is somewhere just shy of 0.3 mm.
