Ok, quick question to you Nova Gurus, I am wanting a Nova motor for 1/8 buggy, is the P5xlt a good one. I dont need a hardcore race motor as I am just club racing on med size dusty tracks. I would also like to be able to get an easy 8min run time, I am good at tuning, not amaster by any means, but good. Also what manifold and pipe is good budget wise. And about the glow plugs, In Ks. we have between 80-105 degree summers so I should go with the C7 Nova plug right? Also was looking to upgrade my daughters Revo to the Nova 2.5 supercharged combo has anyone played with that motor. She races it in club events too. And C7 for that engine also correct. Or should I have some of the C6 on hand to.
I would get the elite 5 instead. It comes with the team piston unlike the xlt. In fact you could get a tuned version from thenitroshop for the same price as an xlt from a main. Novarossi direct has really good prices on headers and pipes and engines, I would look into the 2096 pipe and 41021 header if you race on a dusty track. I've always used the c6 plug no matter what conditions, it just seems to work the best in a large variety of temperatures. I don't really know much about your revo situation, I would look into a big block conversion or something so you can run .21's
