Speaking of cool Porsches - back in 1998 Porsche finished 1 - 2 at the hallowed 24 Hrs of LeMans. I was (and still am) a bit of a Porsche fanatic and because of that I decided I just had to do that body style in 1/10th scale. I knew that there was no real rc class for this body style, and my hope was that Associated's 200mm pancar/sedan chassis (while they were frantically working on the first TC3 4wd chassis) would develope into a legintimate class. The class never did happen, but I had no regrets about creating what was basically a "sales dud". I just had to get it out of my system, so to speak lol. It was a fun project, just ill timed.

Those were the "days of innocents" when it came to licensing. We were under the delusion that we were actually helping the auto manufacturers promote a brand name. How things have changed.
