Is there certain esc that are better for blinky classes. I mainly see speed passion, hobbywing, and orca at my local track. Any recommendations?
Thank you
For a 17.5 class you can get away with 45A/60A. The only time a stock motor is likely to draw large amounts of current is at/near dead-stop. You wouldn't have any room to upgrade motor for that ESC though. Hobbywing JuStock are pretty popular in our area for blinky-only classes.
I run Trackstar gear myself. All 120A units. This allows me to not have to worry about ESC temperatures, and to throw up to a 5.5 at my cars if I feel the need, without having to change ESCs.
