I personally dont like green slime on shocks or anything else. Makes the oils mirky. I dont think it seals all that well either. A lesson I learned from Kyosho is that the Orings are the be all end all of a well sealed component. If the Orings are not up to par your stuff will always leak. Grease itself cant hold back a leak.
