Question about static caster: I understand that in most circumstances the less static caster your car runs, the greater the front grip on turn-in, but for those of you who found this to be the case, how did the speed scrubbed by the car change? Did less caster cause the car to scrub more speed or did it just turn in harder, potentially overpowering the rear grip?
I ask because I sometimes found myself waiting for the front end to grip and slow the car down for the turn when running some Mod 1/12 last weekend. It was easy to get used to but I found myself wishing I could take a little more steam into the corner (like some pros cars seem to do) and instead of coasting into it.
For the record, I was running Ulti X-hard compound front tires, X-medium rear, and they worked okay. The fronts were most consistent with a nearly full sauce. Maybe an x-medium front and an x-soft rear tire could be the ticket.
